EMILIANO
PONZI
A first glance at his illustrations reveal a deep passion for flawless compositions, strong concepts, metaphors and dream-like colors. Picture books, magazines, advertising, the world wide web, newspapers, art galleries, museums and even animations - there’s no such thing as impossible when we talk about Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi.

Browsing Emiliano Ponzi’s portfolio gives us the feeling of walking right into a museum of memories. One that we would very much like to live in ourselves. His illustrations resemble paintings; each and every one of his brush strokes has a certain feel and purpose. When you’re done gazing, you feel like you were woken up from someone else’s dream. And the real world seems gray and rough compared to his work.
It would happily take us an entire day to list all his awards, medals and international recognitions and even longer to make a record of all the wonderful clients he has worked with. But if we’re already here, let’s just mention a handful: The New Yorker, The New York Times, Penguin Books, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Gucci, Ferrari. Impressive? Jaw-dropping? We would rather say “well-deserved.”
He definitely knows how to turn chaos into order and stories into symbols. So this year he’ll show the entire Visual Playground audience that what you’re saying with your illustrations will always weigh more than how you’re saying it.
