The first night of this year’s series brings together amazing illustrators Steve Simpson and Mattias Adolfsson. Steve’s name has become almost synonymous with bright, colorful and fun illustrations, present on packaging, book covers, editorials, figurines and murals. Mattias’ sketchbooks are renowned, combining intricate line work with vintage color palettes in some wacky worlds and characters. Having these two under the same roof will definitely make your illustration sense tingle.
Three new amazing artists are joining us on our second Open Night. Malika’s work never goes unnoticed with her bold color choices and elegant geometric fashion illustrations. Master letterer Tobias needs no introduction with his diverse portfolio and versatile skill set and Hedof’s bright and bold illustrations and murals will have you itching to start dabbling in street art yourself if you’re not already. So whether you’re into intricate vintage labels, clean cut fashion spreads or playful saturated geometry, our second night will definitely be an interesting mix.

Great illustration and animation do go hand in hand with great graphic design, so for our third and final night, we’re so excited to have these two joining us. David’s experimental typography and unconventional magazine design made it into the graphic design history books, so we’re sure you don’t need any extra incentive to come listen to his talk. Yukai’s colorful style comes to life in her stunning animations, in a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of patterns, characters and textures. There’s something simply captivating about her work and we’re sure you’re as excited as we are to listen to her talk about it.
You can attend visual playground open nights either with single tickets or by choosing the 3 nights bundle pack, online, via Eventbook. The tickets can only be purchased online before the events. Please note that there will be no ticket sales point at the conferences and you won’t be able to buy a ticket on the spot.
